Gilda’s Club Evansville, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, is dedicated to providing support, education and hope to all people impacted by cancer, family members and friends of those diagnosed, children, and people who have lost someone to cancer.

Gilda’s Club Evansville provides a gathering place where people with cancer, as well as their families and friends, or people that have lost someone to cancer, can join with others to actively involve themselves in building social and emotional support as a supplement to regular medical care. Our evidence-based programming includes support groups, healthy lifestyle workshops, mind-body classes, social activities, educational lectures and community resource information.

Tri-State Food Bank Logo

The mission of the Tri-State Food Bank is to improve the quality of life for our community’s food insecure families and children by providing adequate food and nutrition through our network of local charities and organizations feeding the hungry. Items are received from a variety of sources including food drives, local grocery retail stores, food manufacturers, local farmers, USDA commodities, and Feeding America. After careful inspection the food goes to non-profit agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, programs serving hot meals to senior citizens, neighborhood outreach programs, day care programs, supplemental and emergency relief programs, summer feeding sites, rehabilitation programs, after-school programs for children, and areas experiencing a disaster such as tornado or flood.

The Tri-State Food Bank distributes more than 8 million pounds of food each year to over 250 feeding programs in 33 counties in Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.
