Meet the Baker Chapel Team

Randy Moore – Lead Pastor
Randy Moore is best known in the Tri-State for his nearly 40 year career in television news. You can still see him every weeknight at 5, 6, and 10 on 14 News WFIE. But now, in addition to bringing the “bad news” Monday through Friday, Randy brings the “Good News” every Sunday morning at Baker Chapel.

Randy entered the ministry in 2012. After filling in for 10 weeks at Holland UMC and Zoar UMC in Spencer County, Randy accepted an appointment to Baker Chapel. At first, Randy led the congregation as a lay person. He eventually earned his License to Preach and is now enrolled in the Course of Study for continuing education.

Randy has a casual, conversational style of preaching/teaching that without exception has its basis in a biblical text, but always with a modern application.

Randy was born and raised in Evansville and is a graduate of Harrison High School and Ball State University. He is a member of the Indiana Associated Press Broadcasting Hall of Fame and winner of multiple Emmy and Murrow awards for his reporting. He enjoys golf, photography, reading and travel.

Randy and his wife, Lisa, got married at Baker Chapel in 2014 and Lisa is an active partner in ministry with Randy. They have six children between them. Randy has two daughters and a son. Erin and her husband Ken live in Los Angeles. Meredith, her husband Matt, and grandson Walter live in Alexandria, VA. Andrew lives in Evansville. Lisa has two sons and a daughter. Patrick is stationed in Germany. Patrick and Anna live in Evansville. Randy and Lisa are empty-nesters except for Maggie the dog and Kitty the cat.

Karisa Green – Worship Leader
Karisa joined the Baker Chapel team nine years ago as the Worship Leader. During this time, she has loved being able to connect and support people of all ages and faith stages thru praise and worship. Karisa considers it a great honor to serve the Lord in any capacity and is so excited to be a part of what God is doing at Baker Chapel. She truly has a passion for worshipping God and helping others.

Karisa married her husband Jacob seven years ago, and together they have two beautiful children. As a family, they enjoy spending time outside, going to the lake and doing crafts. Karisa is also a proud member of the Warrick County Extension of Homemakers and the Southwestern Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Noel Loehr – Children and Youth Director
Noel has worked in children and youth ministry for twenty-four years, with the last nine of those being here at Baker Chapel. Thanks to the caring and nurturing environment at Baker Chapel, the young people are thriving. Everyday Noel looks for ways to support them in their on-going relationship with GOD. She enjoys being a part of the Baker Chapel family and feels that this is truly what God has called her to do.

Noels’ biggest fan is her husband, Jeff. His love and encouragement mean the world to her. Noel enjoys reading, doing crafts, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends.

Harold Hook – Music Director

Harold has been at Baker Chapel United Methodist Church for nine years. He enjoys sharing his passion for praise and worship music with the people of Baker Chapel and working with the Youth Praise Team. When selecting the music, he likes to include both modern praise music and traditional Hymns. Harold has always found that the congregation responds well to an assortment of music styles and sounds.

For Harold and his wife Donna, being a member of the Baker Chapel family has been very fulfilling. Their daughter and grandchildren also attend Baker Chapel, and they have created many special memories.

Harold and Donna have been married for 45 years. Together, they enjoy listening to music and traveling. Family has always been very important to them. Now that their children are grown and have children of their own, they get to spoil and adore their grandchildren. For Harold, it’s all about faith, family and friends.
